The previous class on Friday we do a review of the modal verbs and we wrote in team an imaginary story with the regret or end of the story ´If only I had not boarded that bus´.
My team was integrated with Berenice and Jessica, and our story was:
Finished wrote our story one person of our team read and needed remember all stories, but we lost.
In that exercise, we committed a grammar mistake with one phrase of reported speech.
We wrote the phrase in past but the correct time was past participle.
Another Modal verbs are:
Can could, may might, will would, must shall, should and ought to.
And that indicated:
ability, obligation and advice, permission, habits and past modals.

SAT Exams
SAT exams
This exam is apply to high school students or if the university requestment, the duration of the exam is between 3 or 4 hours.
The College Board states that the SAT exams measures literacy and writing skills that are needed for academic success in the university.
The SAT exams were composed of 3 sections writing, critical reading, mathematics approximately each one section will be resolve in 35, 65 and 55 minutes.
The purpose of the SAT exams is evaluating the knowledge of the students.
The minimum score of the exam is between 800 to 1600.
After exposed the research we did an example of a SAT exam but I think that it was very difficult because sometimes in other reading exams I do not know the meaning of one or two words but in this exam I do not comprehend a lot of words even my partner of the team.
However I think that exam is easy if you speak English and if you prepare for the exam.
Although I think SAT exam is easier than the exam of the UNAM, because in that exam the sections are 10 about different subjects like chemistry, biology, physic, and others, and in SAT exam, is a general knowledge not a specific knowledge.
It is interesting know what exams do in other countries to entry at the university or the requirements for a master degree or other degree.

Diamonds explained
Diamonds explained
In this entry, I will explain the song of Diamonds, by Rihanna.
That song is about a woman who fell in love, and their first impression of her relationship.
At the beggining of the song she expected that they would be happy with their relationship
Then she explained that she appraised his love demonstrations. And she described that she felt alive when he held her.
She continued describing her feelings. She considered that she had known that they would become one right away.
She explained that she felt the energy of sun rays when she saw him at first sight.
She felt that she had seen the life inside their eyes.
Finally, she affirmed that they shine bright like diamonds in the sky for their love.

Essay: working conditions Mexico V.S. working conditions in the U.S.
Essay: working conditions Mexico V.S. working conditions in the U.S.
Also, we research the requirements of an essay.
I found this information about the organization for
this type of essay:
• A comparison essay notes either similarities, or
similarities and differences.
• A contrast essay notes only differences.
• The comparison or contrast should make a point or
serve a purpose.
The points that need the essay are:
Thesis
Introduction
Body Paragraph 1:
Topic 1
Topic 2
Body Paragraph 2:
Topic 1
Topic 2
Body Paragraph 3:
Topic 1
Topic 2
Conclusion
The essay has two organizational structures:
Block method (subject by subject)
Point by point
Comparisons followed by contrasts (or the reverse)
In general I found the next information about the researches:
Wages and Salaries
Working hours and vacations
The Aguinaldo
Other Bonuses
Working Hours in Mexico
Holidays in Mexico
Pensions and Insurance
I decided in the essay compare differences between
working conditions in Mexico and the US, to prove working in the US are more convenient.

TIPS
3 TIPS
The last
class we listened a record about tips to learning English those are:
1.- Breathe
2.- Project
words
3.-
Pronouns clearly and open mouth
About these
three tips I think that were different to the others recommendations that we
watch or listen in other classes.
The first
tip I think is when some singers use their diaphragm to sing. But I think for
that tip we need to practice often for our body gets used to using this advice.
The second
and third tip were really connected because if you project the words to the
last one person that will be in the corner or in the end of a stadium, you need
to talk clearly and strong.
A friend of
mine told me that another tip to pronounce well some words in English was
putting a pencil in your mouth to talk.

Things non-Spanish-speaking Latinos are sick of hearing
Things non-Spanish-speaking Latinos are sick of hearing
In that video, we can saw different persons that
stereotype a man Mexican American:
For example, the man who wants to learn Spanish but at
the same time kidding you for
the pronunciation of the common Spanish words for
americans.
Another situation occurs when you know someone who
is Mexican and the person
identified with you then both start talking about
cultural things, and makes the talk really
familiar and friendly.
Even his boos kidding about if he knows margaritas,
tequila and other Mexicans
beverage.
Ken Tanaka meets a Caucasian Japanese man.
In the other video, we saw the life of a Caucasian
Japanese who raise in Japan but he can
speak English because he has not the
English accent.
Ken Tanaka asked him if he suffer bullying for not
speak well Japanese when he was a
child, but when he answered no Ken astonishes
because he known a lot of histories of
persons that suffer bullying for that
situation.
David think that is more often suffered bullying if you
are a half Japanese because in his case the people think that he was American
but it was another situation of Japanese American who are living in Japan they
have much harder time.
After watched these two videos, I am accord with David but told in other words,
how the people see you they treat
you, and that depends of the culture of your residence
for example in general
the Mexicans are friendly so when you meet a Mexican in another
country
commonly they are treat with amiability in a general situation.
Then explained what happened when you look like a Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, and you don’t speak the language that supposed you need to talk in that case the citizen get angry
automatically because they felt offended and attacked for you even if they don´t know
your story.
automatically because they felt offended and attacked for you even if they don´t know
your story.
Finally, I think that videos could show us not
categorization the people for their appearance.
